2:01Now PlayingThe Guardian minister of Mumbai, Aslam Shaikh spoke to Mirror Now on the violations of Covid appropriate behaviour that were seen on Christmas and the tightening of restrictions by the Maharashtra Government to curb the spread of Omicron. Mr Shaikh said that 'we want people to understand, that whatever the Government is doing, it is for their benefit.' He also said that as restrictions were imposed, 'not even 10% of events happened in Mumbai.' He also added that 'if someone has violated anything, we will look into it.' Shaikh also spoke on plans for lockdown amid the increasing numbers of Omicron. He added that 'we don't want people to gather unnecessarily, anywhere.'
