2:45Now PlayingAs per the latest news on Mirror Now, in Mumbai, two animal activists were attacked by a mob of over 40 men after they had gone over with the police personnel to raid a truck allegedly carrying illegal cow meat. Animal Welfare Officer Ashish Barik received a serious head injury after being hit with rods while his co-activist was hit with sticks on his back. Two accompanying police personnel were also pushed around, and the incident took place in Mumbai's Chunabhatti area at around 6 AM on Sunday. Mumbai police have arrested a suspect and have sent a sample of meat for testing. Further investigation is currently underway.
