During his media briefing, Utpal Parrikar states that he is going to file a nomination from the Panaji seat independently. When asked for reasons for contesting the elections independently, Utpal Parrikar states that the reason is well-known to everyone. He further adds that he is extremely confident of winning the Panaji seat and the people of Panaji support him. Utpal Parrikar further goes on to say that the people of Panaji will only select their better future and the candidate who will bring development.
