8:09Now PlayingA notice has been issued to the Kamala building in the Tardeo area of Mumbai for flouting fire safety norms. This is in connection with a Mumbai high rise fire case, where 7 people were killed and several injured in a fire outbreak on the 18th floor of the Kamala building on 22nd Jan this year. This building is situated near the Bhatia Hospital, which is again a crowded area. A total of 13 fire engines were called off to take control of the fire amid heavy winds blowing at the top. According to the reports, a fire broke out due to a short circuit that further converted into a level 3 fire. Now, the fire brigade has said that the building did not follow the basic safety norms, due to which 7 people lost their lives.
