The speech consisted of a mention of the disparity between employees of State and Central Governments. The FM said that ' at present, the Central Government contributes 14% of the salary of its employees to the National Pension Fund' She added that 'to provide equal treatment to both Central and State Government employees, I propose to increase the tax contribution to NPF to 14%. She also mentioned virtual asset transactions and later said in a press conference that cryptocurrencies are assets and said that 30% of crypto transactions shall be taxed.
