This comes days after Pondicherry CM N. Rangaswamy called on the actor at his house and sought his support for the local body elections. During the last rural elections, Vijay managed to win once in 2016, and in the urban local elections, they are planning to contest also. So they have clarified in their recent statement that they are neither seeking help from nor extending their support to any political party.
