However, no increase was seen in domestic gas cylinders, meanwhile, prices of aviation turbine fuel have been hiked by over 2200 rupees per kiloliter. This 2% rise in prices has sparked concerns over a hike in jet fuel prices. Petrol and diesel prices had gone up by Rs 6.40 per liter. Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman has attributed the fuel price rise to the disruption in supply chains and the resultant increase in global oil prices due to the war in Ukraine.
