India has now recorded 2183 new cases in the last 24 hours. The active caseload currently stands at 11,542. After 11 weeks of a steady decline, covid cases have seen a 35% spike in weekly numbers. The weekly positivity rate has also increased from 0.27% to 0.32%. This primarily is due to a spike in cases that have been reported out of Delhi, Haryana, and the state of Uttar Pradesh.
