Even though is decentralised, a lot of power is vested at the Centre, he added. He also alleged the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of compromising the public's interest in the states they are in power. But on a country-wide scale, he says that there is no politics in the allocation of funds but the appointment of officers in state offices.
