4:31Now PlayingSenior Congress officials, including Rahul Gandhi, who returned from a foreign trip, met for the first time on Sunday to prepare the 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, which will begin on October 2, in an effort to resurrect the party. The Bharat Jodo Yatra Central Planning Group, led by senior MP Digvijaya Singh, met at the Congress War Room here to map out a plan for the statewide yatra, which would begin on Gandhi Jayanti. At the conclusion of the Udaipur Chintan Shivir on May 15, Congress president Sonia Gandhi announced the yatra. She stated the yatra was intended to "strengthen the links of social peace that are under stress, to protect the core ideals of our Constitution that are under assault" when she announced the event.
