One of the biggest projects of the Modi government is the Mumbai-Ahemdabad bullet train. The project is already delayed by more than four years and now it is set to be costlier than expected. Let us know that 508.17 kilometers long this project was expected to cost around 1.08 trillion rupees but now it can be costlier. One of the biggest reasons behind this is the delay in land acquisition in Maharashtra. In Gujarat work is going on to build the track but in Maharashtra, it is still in the land acquisition phase. Now the State government says that they have acquired more than 71% of the required land but the catch is that the railway ministry can't hand over a project in work mode without having 90% of land acquisition.
