2:14Now PlayingThe Telangana Police has booked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar and others over a skit organized under his leadership on June 2, Telangana Formation Day, which allegedly defamed chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government. A complainant with this regard was lodged by Y. Sathish Reddy, TRS Social Media Convener at the Hayathnagar police station, after which a case was booked against Bandi Sanjay, Jitta Balakrishna Reddy, Rani Rudrama, Daruvu Yellanna, and others.
After examination of the videos and other evidence in hand, it was concluded the event was organized to make derogatory comments, and personal attacks and to depict the Chief Minister in a bad light, police said.
