He said, " Every wave is driven by a new variant. Third wave was due to omicron and other sub lineage. We don't see any outage by any particular variant. Regarding the current surge of Covid-19 cases in Mumbai and Kerala and other states since the last three weeks, genomic surveillance does not suggest any new variant. We do not see anything of concern that there is clustering of cases.
