9:48Now PlayingAs per the latest news coming on Mirror Now, it is being reported that Mumbai city police commissioner Sanjay Pandey has instructed that the cases of molestation or sexual crimes involving minors should be registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act only after recommendation from an officer of the rank of assistant commissioner (ACP) and permission from a deputy commissioner of police (DCP). Pandey pointed out that in some cases false, motivated complaints are registered under POCSO.
However, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on Thursday objected to the commissioner's order.
