The Bhiwandi police in Maharashtra have summoned expelled BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma to record a statement on Monday, June 13 in connection with her controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad.
The Bhiwandi police had registered a case against Sharma after a complaint was lodged by a representative of the Raza Academy on May 30. Over Nupur Sharma's remarks on Prophet Mohammad, massive protests have erupted throughout the country while some turned violent on Friday.
