2:34Now PlayingJust after 2 days of the Centre’s soldier recruitment ‘Agneepath’ scheme, a new fierce protest against the scheme is going on in Jahanabad, Bihar. Road traffics and railway tracks have been temporarily disrupted by the protesting students. Protestors are blocking the trains and setting tyres on fire on the roads.
The Agneepath scheme was announced on 14 June, 2022. Several other protests have been reported in Gaya, Buxar and Muzaffarpur in Bihar. The protestors want a longer duration of service as they have been preparing hard for it. They do not want to settle for just four years of service.
