3 incidents of flight mishaps in a single day have raised questions about the safety of the flights.
Three flight incidents were reported from different states on Sunday. A SpiceJet aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at the Bihta Airforce Station in Patna after the flight's left wing caught fire. All 185 passengers are reportedly safe. Airport sources said that the flight was a Boeing 727.In another incident, a Jabalpur-bound SpiceJet flight landed back at the Delhi Airport after it failed to regain the cabin pressure differential even after attaining a height of 6,000 ft on Sunday.In the third incident, a Delhi-bound IndiGo flight (6E 6394) from Guwahati returned to Guwahati airport due to a suspected bird hit after the takeoff. All passengers were accommodated on another flight to Delhi, Aircraft being inspected.
"I don't see any laxity on part of airlines since 2 incidents were of birds hitting,", said YN Sharma, CEO Chimes Aviation.
