6:43Now PlayingAs per the latest updates coming in, it is being informed that the Amarnath Yatra has been suspended temporarily due to inclement weather on the Pahalgam route in Kashmir. Over three thousand devotees have been asked to stay back at Nunwan base camp as a precautionary measure amid the heavy rainfall to avoid the cases of land slide. The weather department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall for the next 12 hours. A few cases of landslide were also reported on the Amarnath route, however, the path has been cleared, informed the authority. The Yatra for the Shiva Lingam cave was resumed after break of 2 years, but now, it has been suspended for the safety of the pilgrims. The Amarnath Yatra authority is picking up the updates regarding the weather conditions to find out the best time to resume the journey for those who have stuck in the Nunwan base camp.
