The Mumbai local trains have also been delayed amid the rains. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Mumbai and the surrounding districts. Eknath Shinde, the Chief Minister of Mumbai, has written to the district authorities to evacuate people from the risk zones. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have deployed at 4 locations so far. The situation is quite intense after the heavy rainfall now. Heavy traffic jams are also seen in Mumbai because of rainfall.
