3:14Now PlayingThe Supreme Court today sentenced four months jail to absconding businessman Vijay Mallya. Court also asked Mallya and his son to return 40 million dollars which was transferred by him to his families. Court also imposed a Rs. 20000 fine on him. Apex court also gave free hand to the authorities to attach his properties if he fails to meet the requirement. 5 years ago the court had convicted Mallya guilty for not paying dues of 13000 crores Rs. He was accused of not disclosing assets of his family members and also disposing of his and family members assets to defeat the recovery process. Center already said that it will be difficult for them to bring Mallya in the country due to complications and legality of the UK where he is currently residing.
