Today after President Gotabaya Rajapaksa fled to Maldives massive outrage against the political leaders was seen on the streets of Colombo. As Rajapaksa left the country PM Ranil Wickremesinghe took the charges as acting president. He ordered authorities to maintain a law and order situation. He also imposed a curfew in the country till the next morning. Meanwhile, the party government is trying to take over the charges from the ruling ministers. PM asked Speaker to nominate a Prime Minister who will take care of the country ahead. On the other hand, after the food crisis island nation is now on the verge of facing a massive shortage in medical supplies. " Both president Rajapaksa and Pm Vikram Singhal has held Sri Lanka and its people and millions of people are requesting to get out and to leave Sri Lanka so that citizens won't suffer and I absolutely have no idea when will they leave the government. While constitutional when the pm and president resign speaker becomes the president so it's the lame excuse provided by the interim one. I absolutely have no idea where he is right now my business is bringing the country out of this situation and I will do it" says Sajith Premadasa, Leader of Opposition in Sri Lanka.
