On Thursday, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena broke his silence and responded, accusing Kejriwal of using "diversionary tactics and false accusations" out of "desperation." In July, Saxena recommended a CBI investigation into alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Arvind Kejriwal government's Excise Policy 2021–2022, after which the relationships between the two constitutional authorities in the nation's capital have gotten worse. In a tweet, LG stated: "I demanded effective leadership, a zero-tolerance policy against corruption, and better services for Delhi residents. But regrettably, in his desperation, Hon'ble CM Arvind Kejriwal Ji has turned to deceitful methods and false accusations."
