YouTube Description
as posted by the channelThe Central Government has informed the Supreme Court that Indian medical students who have returned from Ukraine cannot be accommodated in Indian universities because no provision in the National Medical Commission Act allows it. Allowing such relaxation would jeopardize medical education standards in India, according to the Centre's counter-affidavit filed before the Supreme Court. The affidavit was filed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in response to a slew of petitions seeking relief for Indian students who were forced to abandon their medical studies in Ukraine in the aftermath of the Russian attack in February-March 2022. According to the Centre, students went to foreign countries for two reasons: poor NEET performance and affordability.
