According to the most recent updates of Mirror Now, the Supreme Court sent a notice to the Tamil Nadu government and the Central Government over the Rajiv Gandhi Assassination case today, September 26, Monday.

The apex court sent notice after hearing the plea of Nalini and Ravi Chandran. Both the accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case pleaded in the Supreme Court for premature release. The next hearing will be on October 14.

Nalini has challenged the June 17 order of the Madras High Court, which rejected her plea for early release, and they cited the Supreme Court judgement ordering the release of life convict A G Perarivalan. This release was also recommended by the Tamil Nadu cabinet governor in 2018.
