Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, announced on Twitter. "I'm happy to announce BCCI's initial effort to combat discrimination. We are putting in place a pay equity policy for the women cricketers we have on contract. As we enter a new age of gender equality in Indian cricket, the match fee will be the same for male and women cricketers "Tweets from Shah. Harmanpreet Kaur and company will receive the same match money as their male counterpart ₹15 lakh every Test, ₹6 lakh per ODI, and ₹3 lakh per T20, under the present system.
