24:29Now PlayingThe state government is preparing to implement a GPS tracking system for government doctors who work for the state's Directorate of Medical Education. Minister of Health and Medical Education Dr K. Sudhakar stated that the initiative's goal is to force physicians to follow the law due to a rise in complaints about government physicians who practise privately during work hours. After presiding over a two-day divisional-level progress assessment meeting of the Health and Medical Education Department in Mysuru, the minister said.
According to Sudhakar, the director has been requested to take action because more than 10% to 15% of the doctors in Mysuru alone have been proven to be unprofessional. "While we have nothing against doctors working privately, it should only be done after work hours. The government physicians need to comprehend the seriousness of the problem, he said.
