Due to farm fires in nearby states and vehicle pollution, Delhi's air quality index, or AQI, is at 426. Pollution in the nation's capital has also been exacerbated by unfavourable weather. An AQI of 400 or above is regarded as severe, and it can have an adverse effect on both healthy individuals and those who are already ill. Due to a heavy layer of smog, vehicles must travel on a route close to the Akshardham Temple in the midst of reduced visibility, forcing Delhi residents to breathe in polluted air. With an AQI of 460, Anand Vihar and Jahangirpuri were the most polluted areas of the capital.
