Members of Parliament of Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance (SPA) on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to president Droupadi Murmu seeking RN Ravi'sRavi's removal as governor over allegedly seditious and communal statements and for failing in his duties. They listed 20 bills that have remained pending since he took over in September 2021. The report accused Ravi of publicly promoting harmful, polarizing, and religious discourse and referred to it as unworthy of a governor. "His speeches are made with a calculated intent to incite hatred and create communal unrest among the people." DMK's Spokesperson Saravanan Annuadurai said, 'He's getting paid by the taxpayers of Tamil Nadu; he can't speak like a platform speaker.'
