1:47Now PlayingAccording to the officials, re-elections for two District Development Council (DDC) seats in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara and Bandipora districts were held on Monday. In December 2020, Jammu and Kashmir held DDC elections. The counting of votes halted in these two seats – Drugmulla in Kupwara and Hajin-A in Bandipora – due to a dispute over the qualifications of two candidates. The state election commission (SEC) later declared the voting in these constituencies null and void. Polling will take place between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. at 42 polling stations in Drugmulla and 57 polling stations in Hajin, according to officials.
