4:18Now PlayingThe Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders accused the BJP on Saturday of attempting to poach party councilors, amid speculation that the saffron party may attempt to elect its mayor in the MCD House. BJP leaders such as national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala and Delhi unit media cell head Harish Khurana have made similar claims. The AAP ended the BJP's 15-year reign in the civic body by winning 134 of the 250 Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) wards, according to the results announced on Wednesday. During a press conference in the national capital on Saturday, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh claimed that the saffron party approached several newly elected councilors and offered them large sums of money in order to force them to switch parties.
