Joint Opposition Comments On Rajnath Singh's Statement: 'Diversion Tactics By Centre' | Mirror Now

The Chinese Army was valiantly prevented from crossing the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the Yangtse area of Arunachal's Tawang sector on December 9 by Indian Army troops, the Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reported to the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Several members of the Opposition demanded a reply from Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding the situation at the border after the conflict between Indian and Chinese troops in the Tawang area rocked Parliament on Tuesday. As soon as Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, finished speaking about the Tawang faceoff event, the opposition leaders staged a walkout in the Lok Sabha. After being denied permission to request clarifications on the Defence Minister's statement, the Congress staged a walkout in the Rajya Sabha. "The government consistently rejected the opposition's requests for a debate on China's trespass. If the government won't provide any answers, there is no purpose in remaining in the House," said Mallikarjun Kharge.
