The song grabbed huge attention in both positive and negative ways, however, controversy also erupted in Madhya Pradesh as the state home minister Narottam Mishra called out Deepika's outfit in the song, which was a bikini in saffron colour. BJP leader Narottam Mishra and workers of Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that the song and its visuals have hurt the Hindu sentiments and hence demanded to boycott of the film.
