11:01Now PlayingOn Saturday, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) began its "Halla Bol" protest march in this location against the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government. The protest has been organised to protest the Eknath Shinde-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state over a number of issues, including the Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, projects from the state being moved elsewhere, and the "insult" of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, social reformers Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Savitribai Phule by Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. At the protest demonstration, Uddhav Thackeray addressed the crowd and declared, "We won't give up on Maharashtra's honour. And any who attempt it will be brought to their knees by us. This is Balasaheb Thackeray's real shiv Sena. This should be understood by the 50 khoke who identify as genuine Shiv Saikniks of Balasaheb Thackeray ".
