After the Chair denied requests for a debate on Chinese encroachment on the borders, opposition parties in the Rajya Sabha left the chamber today. Piyush Goyal said that, "In response to a query in the House under 2012, IUML leader E Ahamed, who was their (oppn) own minister, stated that China continues to be in illegal occupation of 38,000 sq km in J&K. LoP Kharge is abusing his authority. Following last week's string of adjournments and disruptions in both Houses, there is still commotion in the Rajya Sabha over the encounter between Indian and Chinese forces on December 9 along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
