YouTube Description
as posted by the channelWith a sharp decline in air quality in Kolkata, health experts have raised an alarm against long exposure to such air with grave health impact. The city's air quality continued to be 'very poor' (AQI: 301-400) with temperature remaining below 15°C for third consecutive day this season. Significantly, finest particulate matters like PM2.5, a major pollutant in Kolkata, causes highest premature deaths worldwide. PM2.5 are ultra-fine particles of diameter less than 2.5 micrometres, about 3% the diameter of a human hair, and can travel straight into the blood stream. Noxious chemicals riding piggyback on these particles play havoc with human lives.
