Sasikala today came forward to answer that, and Jayalalitha herself said that she did not want to go abroad for further treatment.
Instead, she stated that Chennai is a medical hub and that doctors from other countries may be called in for treatment. Sasikala further stated that doctors planned to discharge Jayalalitha on December 19 of that year and that she wanted to give gifts to the doctors and nurses who were taking care of her in hospital. "In her last moment too, Jayalalitha was watching television," said V.K. Sasikala.
