8:04Now PlayingThe BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration sealed all political party offices in the civic headquarters in an unprecedented action, setting up demonstrations by various groups here on Thursday. The BMC's action followed a major scuffle on Wednesday night between former Shiv Sena municipal corporators from the UBT and Balasahebanchi Shiv Sena (BSS), both of whom were vying for control of the old Shiv Sena office there. When Chahal was apparently not available for a meeting to discuss the matter, the party's leaders in the civic body staged a loud sit-in protest inside the civic building. Along with Sena (UBT), the Nationalist Congress Party, Samajwadi Party, and the Congress also sharply criticised the local body's crackdown on their party offices.
