10:47Now PlayingChandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP, paid a visit to the relatives of the eight party members who died in a stampede at a roadshow on Wednesday night in Nellore. The former CM paid respects to the deceased party members while visiting their villages. Further financial aid announcements were made by TDP leaders Kesineni Chinni and Venigandla Ramu, who said that Rs. 5 lakhs will be given to the families of the deceased and Rs. 10,000 to the injured. The relatives of the deceased also received condolence messages from Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. The authorities were told to pay the deceased and injured Rs. 2 lakh each in compensation and Rs. 50,000 apiece in compensation. In addition to offering his condolences, Prime Minister Modi provided ex-gratia payments of Rs 2 lakh to the families and Rs 50,000 to the injured.
