4:52Now PlayingIn the Tarn Taran area of Punjab on Monday, Border Security Forces (BSF) prevented an attempt to smuggle contraband from Pakistan's side, according to a BSF statement. In Punjab's Village Mehandipur, the incident took place. According to a senior BSF officer, on January 9 in the late afternoon, in the midst of heavy fog, Border Security Forces heard the sound of something being hurled into our side of fencing in the vicinity of Village Mehandipur. The alleged smugglers were able to flee through the thick fog, the statement claimed, thanks to the readiness of our troops stationed there. One packet of suspected heroin, weighing around 500 grammes and wrapped in yellow polythene, was found by the military during the initial investigation of the area.
