These hotels are one of the hundreds of buildings in Joshimath that have developed cracks due to land subsidence. Malari Inn will be the first to be demolished and it will be brought down in a 'step-wise' manner. Visuals show the two hotels tilting dangerously toward each other. Structure has raised concerns for the administrations over the safety of nearby residents. The hotels were declared unsafe after an inspection by experts. Watch the video for more.
