2:06Now PlayingOn Tuesday, the Supreme Court rejected a request for an immediate hearing on the Joshimath land sinking matter, stating that nothing crucial needed to be brought before the top court. On January 16, the court set the case for hearing. On the other side, Joshimath district administration have announced that the destruction of hotels and other structures will start on Tuesday. The change coincides with the appearance of fissures on important roadways and buildings during the early days of the holy town as a result of subsidence and landslides. The more cracked hotels Malari Inn and Mount View will be torn down on Tuesday. Additionally, a team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has been placed on alert to help the district government with the demolition process.
