The Bombay High Court declared the orders to be "stringent, unreasonable, and unfair." A division bench of Justices Gautam Patel and S. G. Dige approved the company's ability to produce, market, and sell the goods. The company had petitioned the court to overturn two state government orders: the first, dated September 15, 2022, cancelling the licence, and the second, dated September 20, 2022, ordering the company to halt immediately producing and selling the baby powder product.
