3:50Now PlayingIn the top news of the hour on Mirror Now, the top court of India will hear tech giant Google's plea challenging the hefty fines charged against it in India on Friday. The Alphabet Inc. unit was fined $161 million in October by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) for exploiting its dominant position in the market for Android, which powers 97% of smartphones in India, the U.S. giant's key growth region. Google, on the other hand, has been concerned about the Indian decision because the remedies ordered are thought to be more extensive than the landmark 2018 ruling by the European Commission for imposing unconstitutional restrictions on Android device manufacturers. In that case, Google has challenged the record-setting $4.3 billion fine. Watch for more details!
