9:11Now PlayingIndia's longest sea bridge- the upcoming Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) as known as Sewri–Nhava Sheva Trans Harbour Link- is all set to become operational this November. Nearly 90 per cent of the civil work of MTHL has been completed, and the bridge will be opening for traffic in November, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said after taking stock of the progress of work on Wednesday. The MTHL sea link will be a 22 km long bridge, and a 16.5 km long stretch of it is above the sea. Once the sea link opens for traffic, the travel time between Sewri in central Mumbai to Chirle in Navi Mumbai will be reduced to 15-20 minutes.
