4:26Now PlayingOn Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Karnataka to inaugurate a number of projects as part of an inauguration frenzy that will see the PM travel to the state practically weekly in the months leading up to the state Assembly elections in April. Today, Prime Minister Modi will dedicate projects worth Rs 10,800 crore that pertain to irrigation, drinking water, and road construction. PM Modi will also visit the state at least four times in February, according to sources in the state government, to officially open initiatives including the 10-lane Bengaluru-Mysuru expressway. In Karnataka, the BJP is relying on the implementation of central infrastructure projects to garner support for state elections in 2023 and uphold its reputation as a party that is pro-development despite claims of bad management and corruption against the current BJP state government.
