33:26Now PlayingIn this episode of News@7, the host Afrida Rahman Ali will be discussing how a Bengaluru-based businessman received Rs 50,000 in compensation from Ola Cabs after discovering that the AC in the eight-hour rental car was broken. The complainant, Vikas Bhusan, claimed that he assumed an AC car would be provided when he rented an Ola cab for an 80-kilometer trip in October 2022. He sued Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal and ANI Technologies, the parent company of Ola, as a result of the air conditioner being broken throughout the entire trip. According to the court's ruling on January 18, Ola has a duty to deliver all services to clients in accordance with their promises. It further stated that the complainant had discomfort and mental anguish as a result of the lack of AC. According to the court decision, all payments must be made within 60 days of January 18th. A few panelists join us. “Unless the consumer protests nothing is going to change,” says Sri Ram Khanna, Managing Editor Consumer Voice Magazine. “The worst part is there's no check on these cab aggregators. There's no regulatory body that's monitoring their functioning": Anand, a caller from Jammu and Kashmir.
