The Supreme Court directed WhatsApp on Wednesday to notify all Indian users that they do not need to accept the platform's 2021 privacy policy in order to use it. The Bench ordered WhatsApp to place a full-page advertisement containing the details of this undertaking in five national newspapers on two separate occasions. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court said it will consider whether it should now hear the petition challenging WhatsApp's policy of sharing users' data with parent company Meta (Facebook) and others, following the Centre's submission that it would introduce a data protection bill during the Budget Session. The guest for this episode, Khushbu Jain (SC, Advocate) said, " has to be Watsapplear with their stand. Users should have the liberty to choose if they want to share their information".
