2:51Now PlayingOn Friday, the Supreme Court denied a request to completely ban the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in India. The highest court dismissed the appeal, which was brought by farmer Beerendra Kumar Singh and Hindu Sena president Vishnu Gupta, as "completely misconceived." A bench made up of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and MM Sundresh issued the ruling. The bench declared that the writ petition was "completely misconceived, lacks merit, and is hereby dismissed." The BBC is accused of being prejudiced against India and the Indian government, and the BBC's documentary on Prime Minister Narendra Modi is said to be "the outcome of a vast plot against the worldwide ascent of India and its prime minister," according to the complaint.
