Whoever has been irritated by telemarketers' annoying calls and messages can now breathe easier! The Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) platform must be used by all telecom service providers to reverify registered headers and message templates, and all unverified headers and message templates must be blocked, within 30 and 60 days, respectively, according to a directive from the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). TRAI stated that all parties involved in message transmission should be easily recognised and monitored.
