According to location technology company Tom Tom, which assesses traffic congestion in cities across the world, Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, is one of the most congested cities in the world. According to the Tom Tom traffic index, which was announced on Wednesday, the capital of Karnataka has secured the second spot, behind only London, with an increased travel time of roughly 29 minutes and 10 seconds to drive a distance of 10 kilo metres. The worldwide Air Quality Index ranks Mumbai as the second-most polluted city in the world.
MUMBAI: Mumbai residents may be breathing easier now that the temperature has risen recently, but according to the Swiss air tracking index IQ Air (a real-time international air quality monitor), Mumbai was the second most polluted city in the world for the week between January 29 and February 8. We are joined by Sandeep Anirudhan, founder citizens agenda along with Indrani Malkani chairman VCAN , Vimlendu Jha environmentalist and Ravindra Punde design cell as our honoured panelists to put across their point of view. "Standard of living and quality of life are two different things. We can't compromise with the people's #health" said Vimlendu. "Look at Mumbai!
